A blend of French - Argentine culture

There is a strong connection between Argentina and France that began with the choice of the name of our winery, Monteviejo, which is the Argentine equivalent of the first French family chateau, Montviel. This Franco-Argentine relationship, this blend of cultures, is reflected in both winemaking techniques and our goal of making wines that endure/transcend through time.


Our labels are enriched by both cultures, capturing the French elegance translated into Bodega Monteviejo and its wines, as well as the powerful Argentine character expressed in our French wines. To strengthen this bond, the winemaking teams from both countries participate in the harvests of each continent. This collaboration allows for the combination of French know-how with the rich Argentine terroir, resulting in high-quality wines that reflect French winemaking mastery and the unique characteristics of Argentine vineyards.
